I was a little concerned about being treated as just a number at a big prestigious center like UCSF. He was not familiar with treatments of thoracic outlet syndrome which I have been previously diagnosed with and after 2 appointments I would have expected him to research the condition before providing next steps. For example he didn't know that TOS is typically operated on by Vascular Surgeons instead of Neurosurgeons which a quick google search would've clarified. I think Dr. Martin will be a stellar physician in a few years but as of now he does not have the experience to solely treat specialty cases.
